Kindergarten Maasikas will get a new kindergarten building.

Since it is no longer practical to repair the existing six-group kindergarten building from 1970, the project envisages its demolition and the construction of a new house and outdoor areas.

12 group rooms are planned for the building. Each group room can be accessed directly from the courtyard area. At the same time, the entrance areas are also designed to be used as an external learning environment. This allows for a good connection between the learning environment inside the building and outside. The group rooms are designed to be bright and spacious.

The Kindergarden Maasikas project highlighted the effective use of Peikko’s HPM anchor bolts, Welda anchor plates, and MODIX® Rebar Couplers to streamline the construction process while ensuring durability and precision.

  • HPM Anchor Bolts provided strong and accurate connections between precast columns and foundations, ensuring excellent structural stability with minimal on-site modifications.
  • Welda Anchor Plates enabled reliable and robust connections between precast and cast-in-place concrete elements, simplifying assembly and ensuring long-term performance.
  • MODIX® Rebar Couplers delivered efficient and secure reinforcement connections, reducing installation time and increasing productivity.

Peikko's advanced solutions contributed to faster construction, improved safety, and minimized material waste. These technologies ensured that the kindergarten met its strict architectural and structural standards while promoting an efficient and sustainable building process.
